WOODEN HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL FAMILY SUPPORT ADVISER
My main role is to offer advice and support to families who have any worries or concerns about parenting or childhood issues and to enable parents and children to get the very best out of school life. My previous role was working solely with children supporting their social and emotional well being in school and I am looking forward to extending that support to families.

To provide an accessible service to meet the needs of parents / carers and young people.
To strengthen relationships and communication between home, school, and other services.
To encourage learning opportunities for all through positive participation.
To improve the achievements and attendance of children.

Confidential and flexible support, advice and / or guidance to families through meetings at school or home, telephone / email communication to individuals, groups or families.
An awareness and knowledge of other agencies and services and support / guidance to access these.
Opportunities to meet with other parents / carers through regular events.
